Meet the Team
The Doctors
Dr. Rawson is a Pensacola native. After graduating from Pensacola High School he attended Auburn University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He received his dental degree from The University of Alabama School of Dentistry and his Oral Surgery training at University Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He is the founding member of Rawson, Braxton, and Chicola Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has practiced in Pensacola since 1974. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1980. Dr. Rawson is married and has three children. When not in the office, Dr. Rawson enjoys spending time with his family, working on his farm, being in the woods, golf, and jogging.
Dr. Braxton is a native of Columbus Georgia. He received his dental training at the Medical College of Georgia. After graduation, he completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. In 1981, he returned to the Medical College of Georgia to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency. He has practiced in Pensacola, FL with Rawson, Braxton, and Chicola Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 1984. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1986. Dr. Braxton is married and has three children. He recently welcomed his first grandchild! He spends his leisure time with his family and friends, fishing, and boating.
Dr. Chicola is a native of Pensacola, FL. After graduation from Pensacola Catholic High School, he attended Birmingham Southern College. He received his Dental Degree in 2004 from University of Florida College of Dentistry. Dr. Chicola completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at LSU Shreveport, and his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2010. Dr. Chicola became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2013. His leisure time is spent with family and friends and he enjoys surfing, fishing, and snowboarding.
