Dr. Braxton is a native of Columbus, Georgia. He received his dental training at the Medical College of Georgia. After graduation he completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. In 1981, he returned to the Medical College of Georgia to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency. He has practiced in Pensacola with Braxton & Chicola since 1984. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1986. Dr. Braxton is married and has three children. He recently became a new grandfather with the birth of his first grandson in March 2016! He spends his leisure time with his family and friends, fishing, and boating.
