IV SEDATION

IV Sedation
Many patients experience anxiety related to surgical procedures. IV sedation enables a patient to be sedated to a level that allows procedures to be performed as safely and comfortably as possible. This is the preferred technique for office-based procedures where patients do not prefer to be awake. Sedation levels can be adjusted to suit individual patients' needs, and may also be determined by factors such as the patients' pre-existing medical and health condition(s). In this technique, an IV is placed and the sedation medications are delivered through this route. Patients typically have a short recovery period, and are then discharged to home shortly thereafter.
