THE DOCTORS

Mark T. Braxton, DMD

Dr. Braxton is a native of Columbus, Georgia. He received his dental training at the Medical College of Georgia. After graduation, he completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. In 1981, he returned to the Medical College of Georgia to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency. He has practiced in Pensacola, FL with Braxton & Chicola since 1984. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1986. Dr. Braxton is married and has three children. He recently welcomed his first grandchild! He spends his leisure time with his family and friends, fishing, and boating.
Anthony E. Chicola, DMD

Dr. Chicola is a native of Pensacola, FL. After graduation from Pensacola Catholic High School, he attended Birmingham Southern College. He received his Dental Degree in 2004 from University of Florida College of Dentistry. Dr. Chicola completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at LSU Shreveport, and his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2010. Dr. Chicola became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2013. His leisure time is spent with family and friends and he enjoys surfing, fishing, and snowboarding.

Walker L. Wiggins, DMD


Dr. Wiggins is a native of Fort Smith, Arkansas, where he graduated from Southside High School. Alongside his twin brother, he served as co-valedictorian and co-president of his graduating class. He then attended the University of Arkansas, where he earned his degree in Biomedical Engineering with Highest Distinction as a First-Ranked Senior Scholar.

Dr. Wiggins’s connection to Florida began during his college years, when he spent his summers working beach chair service. This led him to the University of Florida College of Dentistry. There, he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, graduating summa cum laude. He remained at the University of Florida to complete his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, gaining comprehensive experience in the full scope of the specialty.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Wiggins enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends. He enjoys staying active, whether it’s through participating in sports, fishing, exercising, or playing with his dog, Waffles.

Dr. Wiggins is excited to settle his roots in Florida and serve the greater Pensacola community.
